About Serenity Lynn's Natural Skincare

The discovery that sealed my resolve was not about my own skin, but my daughter's. She had suffered from eczema since she was a baby. When I learned what natural skincare formulation could do for compromised skin, I created a formula specifically for her. Within days, her skin was cleared. That was the moment I knew, without question, that I had something real. 

It was my daughter and my best friend who encouraged me to take what I had created and offer it to the world. They believed that my formulation could be one of the best women's skincare solutions available. It took them a while to convince me, but eventually I listened, and in doing so I started my own natural skincare company. I gave it several names in the beginning, but eventually I settled on Serenity Lynn's Natural Skincare, named after my granddaughter, Serenity Lynn, for whom this company is ultimately intended as a legacy and an inheritance, as well as an opportunity to explore anti-aging products that are gentle and effective.

The word 'natural' has been frequently used as marketing language for products that still include synthetic chemicals in their formulations, even within the realm of natural skincare. Some products continue to contain parabens, which can disrupt hormonal balance; oxybenzone, a chemical UV filter that may be absorbed into the bloodstream; and formaldehyde, a known human carcinogen and a common cause of skin irritation and allergic reactions. 

What is the industry's response? They claim that these ingredients are used in concentrations too low to cause harm, suggesting that those who experienced a negative reaction had prior skin conditions. However, this does not address the crucial question: what about the women without any existing skin conditions who still developed a reaction? I was one of those women. My standard is simple: if I wouldn't use an ingredient on my own skin or on my daughter's skin, it will not be in our women's skincare solutions. This is not just a marketing claim; it is a commitment. 

I also believe that nourishing the skin back to health is not a sprint, but a marathon. Nature requires time to complete its process — detoxifying the skin before nourishing and restoring it.
